Couture or Candy?

how fabulous are these pumpkins?
i would definitely want to go
trick or treat
at the house with these out front...
do you think they're passing out
couture or candy?

(not sure who to credit on this...i saw it somewhere, bookmarked it, and now i've lost where it came from)

Geek Chic

I love the classic art geek look
that seems to be everywhere right now.
vintage glasses, hair pulled back,
sweaters and scarves...

What's Up, Doc?

Doc Martens are baaackkk!!
I love the floral ones,
super interesting and feminine
while still being all
grunge-stylin-tough
(and whatnot).

Soulmate?

I love love love the movie "Paris, Je T'aime". I can't wait to watch it this winter, curled up on my couch with a blanket and a nice cup of tea! This is my favorite short movie from it....

And also, "New York, I love you" just came out! I'm hoping to see it in theaters...

Andy!

What can you get away with?

Brilliant.

I have nothing else to say...

Use Your Head

I'm obsessing over headbands that are
large and obnoxious,
that command attention and turn heads.
Super original,
they are definitely
the accessory of the season.

and with pigtails...
who knew that combination could look so sophisticated!

"You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess..."

It's a love story, baby just say yes.

So I fell in love with this picture before I realized that these two were a part of that *ahem* interesting *ahem* closing of the Chanel show. For those who haven't heard, it was basically the implications of a threesome on the runway as Karl Lagerfeld walked out at the end...which I actually think is interesting. First there's the whole idea of Marie Antoinette, which is a very fascinating and clever inspiration in these economic times. Then these unexpected "sexual undertones" as style.com worded it in their video about the show. I think it foreshadows what's to come, just as the 60's had their period of liberation during troubling times, we will also be liberated by the recession and everything that's going on.

Lola

I'm obsessing over it already and I haven't even smelled it.
I loooooovee the new perfume from marc jacobs, Lola. I love the name Lola (anybody else remember confessions of a teenage drama queen?), I love the packaging, the advertisements, everytime I see one I just get really excited for it!

Annnnnndd, how fabulous is this ring? It has the solid perfume inside...and when it's closed it looks like the colored flower on top of the bottle. SO CUTE.

"Once a King or Queen in Narnia, always a King or Queen"

These pictures bring back childhood memories of that magical place beyond the back of your closet...
though I think these pieces would definitely be front and center.
